I'm from Italy. My Africa score is 60.08%. Ranges from 61.9 for Bantu-Kenya to 52.2 for San, with the expected order (Bantu-Mandinka-Pigmies-San). For comparisons, my top population score is 84.05 with Tuscany (and I'm from there).

| That seems kind of low for an italian, do you know how much other ethnic groups score with black africans, like north africans, arabs, indians etc? |

No, I don't know of any north african or middle eastern on decodeme. So I don't really know how to interpret the scores, if they're high or low. In general, Europeans cluster together pretty closely, and subsaharan Africans cluster at the opposite end, so I wouldn't be too surprised.

It seems like you have figures from 2 different places here.
The sharing tool (cacio's figures) and the genetic atlas (thurman's figures) which uses 100kb fragment sizes and more individuals. That explains why the later is higher. |
