In creating deCODEme, we wanted not only to empower the public, but also to give students, academics physicians and other professions with an interest in genetics a chance to get a more in-depth view of their code and genome. The genome browser,which is only one click away from this page, is based on the same tool that deCODE scientists use when they sort through vast sets of genetic data to uncover variants linked with common diseases.
Genome browser
The Genome Browser is an advanced, web-accessible interface that allows you to visualize your genetic profile. Compare your complete data with the reference genome and that of your friends and family. Search for genes or SNPs of interest and view them in the context of your own data.
Data download
You are free to download your data files from the deCODEme Genetic Scan for personal use or analysis. You will be given variant information on every single one of the 1 million SNPs analysed. For security reasons, the data is delivered in a password protected file.
SNP lookup
The Complete Scan captures more variants than are currently included in the Health Watch trait models. If you want to know your codes for SNPs of interest, you can use this SNP lookup tool or the Genome Browser to see your genotypes.
Research catalog
Here you can access the catalog of published Genome-Wide Association Studies (GWAS) compiled by the National Human Genome Research Institute (NHGRI) and view the associated SNPs in our Genome Browser.
